Samaneh Ehsaninia
Born in May 1984 in Qaen, Iran | Based in Mashhad, Iran
Samaneh Ehsani Nia is an Iranian artist and painter who, since 2008, has made mouth painting her personal language for expressing her inner world.
On December 19, 2004, following a car accident, she sustained a spinal cord injury in her neck and spent six years living in a care center.
Although those years brought her face to face with darkness, pain, and limitation, they were not the end of her journey. They became the beginning of a profound journey of self-discovery, of moving through darkness and finding the light within herself.
She chose life again, continued her studies in Social Sciences, and in 2008 began a new chapter in art.
Along this path, what once seemed to be a limitation gradually became a means of creation and artistic expression.
With the guidance of her teacher, Taqizadeh, and with specially designed brushes created by the late master Kashif-Hosseini, she developed her own techniques in watercolor and acrylic painting.
Her paintings reflect pain, hope, peace, love, and a deep perspective on life. They emerge from lived experience and from her search for beauty in the midst of difficulty.
Samaneh Ehsani Nia has held 11 solo exhibitions in Iran and one solo exhibition in Austria, and her works have been presented in more than 30 group exhibitions across Iran, Europe, and Asia.
In 2021, her bilingual illustrated book, “The Orchid Within Me,” was published. The book brings together her paintings and personal writings, along with an audio section accessed through QR codes, inviting the audience into a closer and more personal experience of her artistic world.
As her artistic journey has evolved, she has created an art collection that extends the language of her paintings into everyday life. Images from her mouth-painted artworks are reproduced on T-shirts, ties, accessories, and carpets—creating distinctive works that seek to build a new connection between contemporary art, beauty, Iranian heritage, and everyday l

Her work extends beyond painting. Voice acting, motivational speaking, music, and social activities are also part of her journey. For more than 14 years, she has lived independently, building her life through her abilities, creativity, and art.
